What are the chances of making a college basketball team?

I played basketball from 5th grade to 8th grade. Then I took 3 years off. I'm a senior in high school right now, and I made the varsity basketball team. What are the chances of making a college team if I do good this year? Can you only make a college team from being scouted or given a scholarship? Did I wait too long or if I put up like 15pts/g and have good leadership qualities could I make a team in college? Oh, and I have pretty good grades. Thanks!!What are the chances of making a college basketball team?
A lot of times, college scouts go out and look for seniors to give scholarships to. It would've helped if you hadn't quit, but there still should be some scholarships available, the school basketball season has really just started with practices here and pick up in November through March. Keep playing hard and if you are a starter, you will get noticed. Talk to your school counselor regarding scholarships, if your grades are good there may be academic scholarship opportunities for college too. Good Luck! What are the chances of making a college basketball team?
Scholarships in the major sports are given to very talented athletes. These athletes are not the product of effort. Rather, the result of genetic endowment. The myth of practice makes a ballplayer is kept alive by these sportswriters who have never played a minute of college sports.
yes there are a ton of schlorships out there... im not saying d1 because you have to be big time to play d1... but naia, and d2.. but to get scouted you shoulda have joined an aau team over the summer... but right now scouting is limited to exposure camps which are probably rare because the high school season is just starting
If you are good enough some one will notice you. As a senior, it is a bit trickier since the majority of scholarships are already offered to someone else, but there is always the opportunity of a smaller school or walking on.
Do these everyday, you'll be succussful

# Find the right bread:

* White bread is traditional but it isn't sturdy and the jelly soaks through (Remember your grade school field trips with prepackaged lunches. this will be great!!! In addition, white bread is extremely processed and lacks vitamins - why not make this delicious and healthy?

* Multigrain adds its own flavor that complements the sweetness of the jelly and peanut butter.

* Whole wheat is healthiest option. Make sure the bread is 100% whole wheat flour, not 100% enriched whole wheat flour.

# Choose your peanut butter. You'll need to decide between chunky or smooth. Chunky can often be harder to spread, as it can tear the bread. But it does add a nice crunch.

# Choose your jelly. Common options include grape jelly, strawberry jelly or raspberry jelly. The adventurous might chose apple jelly.

# Get a good amount of peanut butter on a knife or spoon (this amount varies with your personal preference) and spread it out evenly onto one of the slices of bread.

# Wipe any residual peanut butter from the knife onto the second piece of bread.

#

Scoop some jelly onto the other slice of bread. Again, the amount is up to you, but when in doubt, use less rather than more. Jelly tends to squeeze out the edges and drip if you use too much. Make sure to spread the jelly evenly.
