I have been taking it since 2002 and yes it will make you sweat. Too high or not you will still sweat more. Don't be surprised if you get more sensitive to temperature changes and the like too. If you get to the point you can't sleep then ask your doctor to check your levels again because they may be too high. Good luck!Can my thyroid medication be making me sweat?
I personally think that it is the medication cause not that long ago i was diagnosed with a low thyroid and i started my medication 2 weeks ago. Ever since then I sweat a lot also.
It could be because you weren't sweating much before because of the hypothyroidism. That was the case for me. I started sweating normally once on Armour when it was hot, humid, or after exercise. Before Armour, I barely sweated at all.
If the sweating in excessive, it could be because you are on too high of a dose. To always get the proper dosage of medication, test first thing in the morning while TSH is still high. Basically most on Synthoid shoot for a TSH around 1.0.
If your dose is too high you could be in a state of hyperthyroidism, hence sweating, agitated, difficulty sleeping. It's hard to tell without more info, are there any more symptoms? Better to talk to your physician about it.
It could be. That would mean that you are overdosing on your medication. Go back to your doctor, get new blood tests, and see where your levels are at, and if your dosage needs to be changed.
You should take the meds. at least 6 weeks then get your levels done again. Your Dr. will then adjust your meds to the right dose.
It doesn't hurt to keep communications with the DR. open. Call the office and give them a list of your symptoms, they may adjust by phoning the pharmacy.
